If someone does chew through things, it’s possible they may need the toughest XXT level eventually. Unless someone chews through or causes damage to anything else they chew on (chews through pencils, chews holes in shirts, etc.), in which case the XT level would be longer lasting. Usually we recommend going with the softest/standard level by default. XXT / Super Firm - this is the toughest level, which we call XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough") It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid / pretty firm.XT / Medium Firm - this is the middle level, which we call XT ("Xtra Tough") It's firmer, but still fairly chewy.Soft / Standard - this is the softest and chewiest level. For individuals over the age of 2.5 years, check out the Probe Tip here.ĪRK chew tools come in 3 color-coded toughness levels: Since it's more petite, the Mini Tip is for children up to about the age of 2.5 years. But the head of the Mini Tip is smaller than the Probe Tip (see the image below for a comparison). How does the Mini Tip compare to the Probe Tip in size?

For older children through adults, we recommend the Probe Tip (same shape, just larger in size).

This can vary depending on the mouth size, but typically we recommend them for children up to the age of 2.5 years.
